Mayday – Twenty Five – The review
MAYDAY – Twenty Five! On April 30th the Westfallenhallen in Dortmund (Germany) turned into a party empire with 20.000 crazy party people, to the 25th anniversary of MAYDAY. The kick-off has been done by Cuebrick and he filled the floor within just a few minutes, with his pumpin EDM set. The masked guys of Two Loud contined with EDM before Gestört aber GeiL entered the stage to start amazing showers of confetti and pyro-effects. The whole arena sang their hits like „Ich und Du“, „Unter meiner Haut“ and their new single „Geh nicht weg“.
The best show for this evening (in the opinion of Noizefield) has been done by Showtek. With tracks like „Booyah“ and a very amusing and absolutely outstunning show (with pyro, confetti, breath-taking light-effects and a MC), they got the people screaming to ecstasy.
When „Friends of Mayday“ started their short but intensive show, the crowd started screaming together the battle cry „MAYDAY MAYDAY“ as loud as possible. Old classic tracks like „Hardcore Vibes“ and „OutsideWorld“ and an outstunning firework was a perfect warm-up for the superstar-DJ Robin Schulz. When Robin started there has been no empty space on the floor and everyone started singing to his hits like „Sugar“ and much more. A very progressive hard banging set followed by Blasterjaxx. The next one was R3HAB, he enjoyed to entertain the crowd very much with his versatile music styles, (a mixture of Dubstep and EDM) his performance and his light and pyroshow. Then Moguai took the task and decks to make the crowd dance.
One of the good old hands Sven Väth played a very pushin vinyl-techno-set at the Empire-satge, and Len Faki continued this job. Dalora, Noise Suppressors and BMG tried to blast the speakers with their booming energetic and very diaphoretic hardstyle-sets. Very amazing classic sets has been done by Dune and Tanith. Much more artists has been on this event, like The Disco Boys or Tom Novy, so we think there has been something for every fan of electronic music
This very felicitous event by i-Motion has also been broadcasted on Sunshine-Live with DJ Falk. Bye Bye Mayday – Twenty Five. See ya next year again.
