Red Room Audio released The Traveler Series – Bluegrass Fiddle, Celtic Fiddle and Bodhrans & Bones

Red Room Audio has launched THE TRAVELER SERIES , an ongoing collection of boutique sample libraries featuring traditional world instruments faithfully recorded on location from destinations around the globe. Traveler Series libraries focus on delivering a genuine purity that can only be captured where the instrument and musical style originated, preserving its true character and history. The series debuted with 3 libraries: BLUEGRASS FIDDLE, CELTIC FIDDLE and BODHRANS & BONES.

BLUEGRASS FIDDLE was recorded in Kentucky, USA with Grammy-nominated multi-instrumentalist Ronnie Stewart. The playable multi-sampled instrument includes 26 standard articulations and traditional Bluegrass ornaments with 4 performance modes, two types of true legato, customizable double stops, adjustable bow attacks and rebowing options. Other highlights include the powerful TACT (Total Articulation Control Technology) and a robust 8-slot FX rack. The Phrases & FX patch features over 400 rhythmic loops and free-form improvisations. The library runs in the full version of Kontakt 5.8.1 and above and is available for the list price of $89.

CELTIC FIDDLE was recorded in Dublin, Ireland with award-winning fiddler Niall Murphy and shares many of the same features and user interface as the Bluegrass Fiddle. The playable multi-sampled instrument includes 20 standard articulations and traditional Celtic ornaments with 4 performance modes, two types of true legato, customizable double stops, adjustable bow attacks and rebowing options. Other highlights include the powerful TACT (Total Articulation Control Technology) and a robust 8-slot FX rack. The Phrases & FX patch features over 360 rhythmic loops and free-form improvisations. The library runs in the full version of Kontakt 5.8.1 and above and is available for the list price of $89.

BODHRANS & BONES was also recorded in Dublin, Ireland with Marcin Oracki, owner and drum builder at Mighty Bodhrans. The library features 6 unique traditional Irish bodhrans, each sampled with 5 stick types at a variety of zone on the drum with 5 dynamic layers and 7 round robins. The flexible sound design controls and unique sampling approach allow for realistic manipulation of pitch and dampening. Other highlights include a 3-microphone position mixer, separate transient and sustain volume and tuning, ensemble mode and a robust 8-slot FX rack. The bones patch features 2 sets of bones (ebony and actual bone) with playable hits and rolls. The library runs in the full version of Kontakt 5.7 and above and is available for the list price of $49.
