Production. What is W.A. Production and when did you start with that company?[/x_custom_headline][cs_text text_align=”none”]Hi Carl. Thank you so much for the opportunity to talk more about W. A. Production. W. A. is a sound design company based in the Czech Republic (where I live also) and it was founded in January 2014. The “W. A.” shortcuts means “What About”, which is the main concept of the whole label, and nearly all of our products are called “What About: Anything”.
A few weeks ago, we have also launched a new sub-label called Big EDM, which offers products exclusively on Beatport. So far all of our released products were in the Top 10. In fact the first product called “EDM Festival Essentials” has been #1 for more than 4 weeks now which is pretty cool !:)[/cs_text][x_image type=”thumbnail” src=”https://www.noizefield.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Big-EDM-EDM-Festival-Essentials-Cover-e1446289816857.jpg” alt=”” link=”true” href=”#” title=”” target=”” info=”none” info_place=”top” info_trigger=”hover” info_content=””][cs_text text_align=”none”]EDM Festival Essentials[/cs_text][x_custom_headline level=”h6″ looks_like=”h6″ accent=”false”]Tell us something about your team. How much guys are working for W.A. Production, and what do they do?[/x_custom_headline][cs_text text_align=”none”]Ok, so currently our team contains 6 people including me. We have 3 sound-designers, 1 mastering guy, 1 graphic designer, and 1 stunning girl who is taking care of the overall look of our company. I am the head producer which means that all products go through my hands and ears. In the case where a product is not made by me, I am still mixing everything and adding more content as long as I feel it finally has the “W. A. Production” sound that are our customers used to and new producers are looking for.[/cs_text][x_custom_headline level=”h6″ looks_like=”h6″ accent=”false”]Which kind of studio-equipment do you use for creating your sound collections?[/x_custom_headline][cs_text text_align=”none”]This depends on the type of product. Most of the time we are working with software, but from time to time we use hardware compressors and EQ. They are fun, and we like to add something extra to our packs.[/cs_text][x_custom_headline level=”h6″ looks_like=”h6″ accent=”false”]One of your actual releases is the punchy and mainfloor-filling soundcollection „EDM World“. What can you say about the content to this amazing soundpack and which producers have worked on it?[/x_custom_headline][cs_text text_align=”none”]Yes, you are right. EDM World is a massive release which we are very proud of. Over the last few months we are trying to bring our customers the most complex packs possible. That means that unlike what our competitors are doing – packs with 60 presets or with 8 construction kits / samples etc., we are creating “Super Packs”, which contain so much more.
To take a closer look, let me explain it on our “What About: EDM World” pack:
This pack contains: 10 Construction Kits, 82 Sylenth1 Presets, 40 Melody Loops, 180 Kick Samples.100+ Drum Samples / Loops and 2 tutorials. All of this in one pack !
That is awesome right? We have also included 10 Kick Packs to this product. Each of the Kick Packs contain the full octave of electro / big room kick samples, which is a quite rare and exclusive thing.
Long story short, be sure to check a preview from this pack that will show you everything you can receive.[/cs_text][x_image type=”thumbnail” src=”https://www.noizefield.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/WhatAboutEDMWorldCover-230×230.jpg” alt=”” link=”true” href=”#” title=”” target=”” info=”none” info_place=”top” info_trigger=”hover” info_content=””][cs_text text_align=”none”]W.A.Production – EDM World[/cs_text][x_custom_headline level=”h6″ looks_like=”h6″ accent=”false”]It’s interesting to see, that your soundcollection like „EDM World“ and also the other ones are not only sample collections. They also contain presets, MIDI-files and tutorial files. I think this is something, that makes you a bit more special from other companies? Is that the reason for your huge success in the last time?[/x_custom_headline][cs_text text_align=”none”]SHHHH! You just revealed our secret formula ! Haha no, I am just kidding But basically yes, you are right. We are trying to do really complex packs and offer much more quality content for less price than other companies. We are aware of the different types of producers (beginners, advanced, pros) and their need for different type of samples. For example, some producers are not looking for construction kits, because they need to create the whole track from scratch so that´s why we are including presets or one shot samples. Some producers are only looking for a good melody for their breakdowns. That’s why they will find MIDI and melody loops in our packs. It is simple like that. However, the truth is : Our strongest part (in our opinion) is creating construction kits as we really love making these and we spend a lot of time on creating them. [/cs_text][x_custom_headline level=”h6″ looks_like=”h6″ accent=”false”]W.A. Production is not only a sample- and soundcompany. You’re also offering your own mastering service, right? What can you say about that? Is an EDM track a must-have to get a track mastered or could interested readers also master their track in other kind of music styles?[/x_custom_headline][cs_text text_align=”none”]Yes, you are correct ! In fact, we are also offering promotion via Soundcloud, and more promotion opportunities will be happening soon. But back to the mastering. Mastering is very important if you want to be successful and have nice releases. A lot of people mix and master their tracks on their own which is sometimes a big mistake because it may sound good on your sound system, but it may not sound good in a club. The stereo separation is bad, the EQ picture is not correct or other things. The A&R from big labels have great ears and will notice if your track isn’t mixed or mastered properly. That’s just the simple truth.
Mastering Service[/cs_text][x_custom_headline level=”h6″ looks_like=”h6″ accent=”false”]Which products could the W.A. Production fans expect next?[/x_custom_headline][cs_text text_align=”none”]That’s the question that I have been waiting for ! Big things are going to happen very soon – not only packs, but so MUCH more. Unfortunately I can not tell you guys more, because we are like super secret agents, but be sure, you will love it
About packs – we want to continue in what we are doing now. Maybe create even bigger and fatter packs. We are just doing what we feel our fans want us to do and are waiting for. Our main genre is Electro, Progressive House and Future House obviously. You won’t find much tech house or trance releases under our label, but if you are looking for Tropical House, Trap or Dubstep, than you are in the right place also![/cs_text][x_custom_headline level=”h6″ looks_like=”h6″ accent=”false”]I’ve heard you’ve got a special discount code for Noizefield readers, right? What can you say about the discount? [/x_custom_headline][cs_text text_align=”none”]As we really like Noizefield, we´ve created a special 25% off discount code for your readers. All you need to do is to put Noize25 to the „Use Coupon Code“ during the checkout. You can use this code only once, so be sure to buy all that you need! The code will be valid until the end of this year.[/cs_text][x_custom_headline level=”h6″ looks_like=”h6″ accent=”false”]Do you or your team also play and produce music as a DJ or in a band?[/x_custom_headline][cs_text text_align=”none”]Yes I do. My artist name is Redhead Roman and I am working with an awesome guy and a well-known DJ and producer Austin Leeds. We are doing some great stuff, so be sure to check it out, I bet you will like it.
Redheadroman on Soundcloud[/cs_text][x_custom_headline level=”h6″ looks_like=”h6″ accent=”false”]Now let’s tell our readers something that you always wanted to say.[/x_custom_headline][cs_text text_align=”none”]I want to say a huge thank you to all of our supporters, fans, and customers that are supporting our work, buying our products, and communicating with us via our social media channels. Be ready for some awesome things that we are preparing for you.
We really enjoy what we are doing, and all of this is happening because of you, so THANKS !:)[/cs_text][x_custom_headline level=”h6″ looks_like=”h6″ accent=”false”]Thank you very much for taking time to this interview![/x_custom_headline][cs_text text_align=”none”][icon type=”chain”] More information:
