Splice Sounds released Photay’s Useful Cosmic Timbres
Splice Sounds released Photay’s Useful Cosmic Timbres.
Photay, the musical persona of New York based Evan Shornstein, plucks influences from a handful of disparate places. He counts an early exposure to Aphex Twin, a love of the peaceful woods of upstate NY, and a trip to Guinea as the ingredients that metamorphoses into the Photay project. Wonderfully weird and always surprising, Photay’s ear for melody, talent for imaginative sound design and skill in nimbly sequenced percussion both grooves on the dance-floor and pulls at the heart strings. Put some spring in your step with Photay’s first sample pack.
